3 Sunday services at 8:15am, 9:45am, & 11:15am
Lord willing, we plan to build an approximately 39,000 square foot building that attaches to our current worship building. The estimated cost of the project is $9.8 million. The upstairs would provide 6 more classrooms which would double our preschool space.  It would also provide a new worship auditorium that would easily seat 750 people along with a much larger, welcoming lobby.

The lower level would provide 14 new classrooms for our elementary department.  This would free up our existing elementary classrooms for
adult small group space. The project also includes an elevator and additional parking.
Hill City Church communicates who we are and where we are.

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house."
Matthew 5:14 & 15
While our name is changing from Woodstock Church Jasper to Hill City Church, our heart and mission remain unchanged.
Worship God. Love Others. Serve Jesus. Influence People.

The Forward Project is a step into everything God has next.
The future is ahead. Let’s move forward.

"Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.
I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 3:13-14

Campaign Purpose

We desire to build more space to accommodate the people that God is sending to us. We want people in our community to find Jesus and to find a place where they belong.  We can't help but feel gratitude and anticipation as we begin a new spiritual journey of generosity.  Our prayer is that we will allow the Lord to lead us forward to reach people here and around the world with the Gospel and to make a difference that lasts.

Moving forward, how can I help?

Pray

First and foremost, you can pray consistently for our Forward Project Campaign.

Commit

Make a commitment. The commitment cards will help our church leadership see where we are and what can be expected. We will be challenged to go over and above our current giving.

Give

Give sacrificially. We are not asking for equal gifts but equal sacrifice. The definition of sacrificial giving means giving in a way that costs you something personally.  It is giving generously even though it requires you to give up comfort or convenience because you value God, other people, or a worthy cause more than your own immediate benefit.

Letter From Pastor
Eddie Rhodes

Dear Church Family,

As I look back over the last 13 years, I am amazed at how God has moved. We have seen over 1,000 people saved, many of them baptized, marriages restored, relationships mended, as well as students and children grow in their faith.  It truly has been more than I could have asked or imagined! Woodstock Church Jasper began in April 2013 and our name stated who we were and where we were.  First Baptist Church Woodstock was coming to be used by God to make a difference in Jasper, GA.

Our founding purpose was to teach this church family to worship God, love others, serve Jesus, and influence people.  While this remains our DNA, we have since been launched as an autonomous church by First Baptist Woodstock. As we move forward, our desire is to have a clarifying name that reflects who we are and where we are.  Our church is located in the Hill City Community. Woodstock Church Jasper has a great name in our community, but it can be confusing to those unfamiliar with our story. Hill City Church clearly communicates who we are and where we are.  We will keep the same mission but have a new name. Our current building was completed in 2020. Almost immediately, we realized that God was blessing us and we were out of room.

In April 2022, we launched into 3 Sunday morning services and now they are full each week with some of you in the overflow room at 9:45. After our “40 Days to What’s Next,” I believe that God has made it clear that it is time to build.  We will keep the same mission but have a new home. I believe God moves at the speed of our obedience.  This project will be a spiritual journey and will require sacrifice.  I am looking forward to partnering with you.  We are not just building a building; we are building a tool that we pray will be used to accommodate all that God is doing!

With gratitude and great expectation,
Pastor Eddie
